Maestria
For pianists who stopped playing
Your hands still know the three pieces you learned at fourteen, and nothing after them. Everything you've been offered since was written for a child, or sits years out of reach. This is one piece, written for the hands you have tonight. Not for anyone else's.

You know this evening
They come back exactly as you left them at fourteen, mistakes included. You don't finish one. Twenty minutes, then months of walking past it. Not because your hands are gone: because nothing in front of them is both yours and possible. The pieces you want are years away. The pieces you're offered were written for a six-year-old.
“Sometimes I feel like it's too late.”
A founding member, 56. Piano from twelve to seventeen. Intermediate, in her word: only.
It isn't too late. It was never your hands. It was the repertoire.

Verin
The workshop is hers after dark, when the men who sign her maps have gone home. Tonight, under the shore she has drawn, she adds a second coastline in white ink, invisible until the paper is held against a lamp. Her own line, under theirs.
One of the forty-five pieces in the Maestria app, each written from one life. Yours will be written the same way, from yours, for your hands.
What changes
Tell us your story: when you started, when you stopped, what you miss. Seven days later, a piece exists that did not exist before. Written at the level you can play tonight, not the level you had at seventeen and not the one a method wants to sell you. Beautiful enough to sit down for. Short enough to play to the last bar. And yours: no one else will ever play it.
The first week
Fifteen minutes a night. That is the whole practice.
If your hands can't play the first eight bars after seven evenings, we rewrite it one level easier. The piece adapts to you, never the other way round.
If it doesn't sound like your story, tell us what is missing. We write it again, up to twice. It isn't finished until you say it's you.
In seven days
Not a file. An edition of your life: six things made from your story, that no one else will ever have.
Your PieceThe recording. Something worth sitting down for, and no one else has it.
The ScoreEngraved at your level, with your name on it. Real notation, no coloured dots.

Questions
It is exactly enough. Right after payment you tell us, in plain words, what your hands can play today: from a simple melody with chords to a romantic nocturne. The piece is written there. If the first eight bars are still out of reach after a week, we rewrite it one level easier.
Your hands remember more than you think. People who sit back down are usually surprised by how much comes back. What they lack is something to play. That is what arrives in seven days.
So has everyone who ends up here. This is not an app, a method or a course. Nothing listens to you through a microphone. It is one piece of music, written for you, on paper and in a recording. Your year of Maestria comes with it because a piano needs something new on it, not because you need teaching.
Your piece is composed from your story by the Maestria composition engine, the one behind the forty-five pieces in the app, then checked by ear before it is delivered. It is never given to anyone else.
Tell us what is missing and we write it again, up to twice. The two promises give rewrites, not refunds: a piece written for one person cannot be resold, so payments are final once work on your piece has begun. Everything else is in our Terms.
Seven days from the moment we receive your story. If you need it sooner, you can ask for it within seventy-two hours at checkout.
It is yours to play, record and share with the people you love. It is licensed for personal, non-commercial use.

To the last bar, in a hall, for the people who never heard you: that is The Last Bar Recital, by invitation.
Not ready for your own piece yet? A Year of Maestria: a new piece every four evenings, written at a level adult hands can play, with its story. $99.99, once, for twelve months.
